Humanity's first faltering steps into the galaxy have led to a state approaching anarchy in the outer systems. An experiment in co-operation between the various corporate militias becomes humanity's last hope when the first contact with alien lifeforms turns into a massacre.
Unwillingly thrust into the role of figurehead, the lone survivor of that massacre must lead the combined might of the species in resisting the advance of the hostile alien force. But dangers come in many forms, and the enemy you can see is the least of your troubles.
